A Single Shard by Linda Sue Park (NEWBERY WINNER)

This is one of those books where you learn something without feeling like someone wrote it just so you would learn something! It has interesting stuff about the history of Korea, about how to make pottery and about Korean culture. I liked it and liked the main character, however, I thought it was slow moving in places. It isn't very long and doesn't have especially challenging vocabulary, so it is a quick read if you are are looking for one.
