"Foolish/Unfoolish" by Ashanti (click for my response)

I liked this more than I expected to, considering that I am not wild about books of poetry and can't tell you anything Ashanti sings. I do like poetry OK, just not in large doses. I liked the stories she told to explain why she wrote the poems. I thought she had some good points, especially in the later parts of the book. I liked her message about loving yourself and that you can't get into a worthwhile relationship with a guy until you are in a good place yourself. The poems seemed more like music lyrics, but I was kind of prepared for that. It is also short, if that appeals to you!
