A Mango Shaped Space by Wendy Mass

The neatest part of this book was Mia showing the world through her eyes. Really, by the end you will wish you had synesthesia! There is also the story of how it is affecting her schoolwork, friends and family. She seemed like a real middle school girl with a lot more going on her life that her colors and sounds. I really liked this book. It reminded me a little of a book I like called Izzy, Willy Nilly about a girl who loses a leg in a car accident and struggles with the fact that it seems like that is how people define her. She knows there is more to her that that.
