My name is Sam Woolever, and I am the Media Specialist at Anthony Middle School.  I joined the Anthony staff in the fall of 2015, and have been teaching since the fall of 2009.  Previously I taught for 6 years at Northrop Elementary.

Education has always been a strong part of my family.  Both of my parents were teachers; my mom taught pre-school and my dad taught elementary special education.  My sister is currently an art teacher in St. Paul, and even one of my grandma's taught in a one room schoolhouse in Iowa.

I grew up near the small town of Pelican Rapids, MN where I graduated High School in 2003.  We lived on a hobby farm outside of town where we had chickens, ducks, geese, horses, a dog and a cat.  My town was so small that it only had 2 traffic lights and the nearest Target was 50 miles away.  After hight school, I attended college in Duluth where I started at the University of Minnesota - Duluth before transferring and graduating from the College of St. Scholactica in the winter of 2007.  Once out of college, I served in the AmeriCorps in Duluth for 1 year where I worked on childrens literacy projects before moving to Minneapolis.

During my free time I enjoy motorcycling, riding bike, working on house renovations and grilling outdoors in any season.
