Hello! My name is Leah Pillsbury and I am the school social worker. I am beyond excited to be a part of Anthony and look forward to meeting you all. Some background on me is that I went to California for school. I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Westmont College-Santa Barbara, CA and then received my master’s degree in social work (MSW) from the University of Southern California-Los Angeles, CA. I love being a social worker and I am thrilled to be at Anthony serving students and their families. My role as a school social worker is to help support students and bridge communication between students, families, and staff in order for our students to reach their highest potential of learning and engagement at Anthony. I am available to help students and their families to resolve social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.  Students are welcome to visit me in the main office (room 103G) if they want to talk about concerns around peers, classes, home life; if they need resources like school supplies, basic needs; or if they just need a quiet space to feel safe. Families are welcome to contact me with any concerns as well.  I also work with students receiving special education support and students on 504 plans. Please reach out and let me know how I can support you and your student so the best experience can be had at Anthony.
