Meet your Counselor

Greetings! My name is Megan Gustafson, and I am the School Counselor at Anthony Middle School. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Benedict and my Master’s degree from Adler Graduate School. I have been a School Counselor since 2016 and started at Anthony Middle School in 2018. I am a resident of Minneapolis and love working with students from my own community!

My main role here at Anthony is to provide students support with their academic, social and emotional needs. I will also be teaching classroom guidance lessons through My Life Plan, a district curriculum, that helps students with academic, social, and college or career preparation.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, singing and playing guitar, playing soccer, and spending time with my golden retriever and bestie, Penny!

I can be reached at or 612-668-3251. Do not hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns!

School Closing Resources

Anthony Middle School is closed until April 6, 2020  (as of now).

I will be avalible Monday through Friday via email. If you need to talk over the phone, email me to schedule a phone call.

During the school closing it is important to keep up routines and daily activties. Keep a schedule each week day of academic work, physical activity, outside time (when weather permits) and social interactions (this may need to be through phone calls, texts and social media). This is an opportunity to spend quality time with family and to help out around the house!

Here are some resources to support you and your family while school is closed.
